You certainly get good results from just a Brownie box camera. There are Red Kites at Swallowfield just past the Dog and Partridge.

Yes Steve, amazing what can be achieved with a Brownie and a brick to stand it on. 
Seen the Kites up there, not sure where they are based, but there must be several pairs now in the Berkshire area, as i see them pretty much everywhere I go, saw four in Sonning Common the other day.
